Like make-up, golf clubs for women are springing up like mushrooms everywhere.  It is a well-known fact that women are the shoppers in every household.

Shopping malls are also designed with the interests of their female patrons always on top of the list. Same goes for golf equipment!

Nancy Lopez likewise offers a full-line of golf and golf accessories for women.  You get the picture.

Some golf equipment manufacturers look like they just scrambled to get into the women bandwagon. Like Nike, for instance. Go visit a Nike golf division in your favorite mall and you’ll notice how there is hardly any distinction in design between the men’s and the women’s golf lines.

But then, there are also golf club manufacturers who started out catering mainly to women, only to open up the marketing horizon for male patrons as well. This is what Square Two Golf is doing.

Yet gimmicks or no marketing gimmicks, women do have peculiar golf paraphernalia needs.  Especially when it comes to the golf club’s shaft portion, most women are better off with the graphite make rather than the iron ones.

Sooner or later, it all boils down to the anatomical differences between women and men. Graphite golf shafts emit a nice kind of vibration when in use, whereas those made of steel are just too stiff and cold.
